Join us as we celebrate Charter Day and honor distinguished Howard University alumni! Charter Day is a time of celebration and is one of the most important events on the University's annual calendar. We celebrate because we are grateful for the March 2, 1867, approval of the University Charter by President Andrew Johnson for an institution dedicated to the betterment of humanity, Howard University. Join us as we commemorate the anniversary of the founding of Howard University and honor alumni who have distinguished themselves through their support of Howard University or outstanding contributions to society.
